Have you known..there is a very strong connection between an painting and the human soul throughout the humanity. You’ll ask why I said that, it’s because of this: let’s take a look at life, the time when a little children get a paper and a pen for the first time after they were born, their doddles, drawings, their first art classes at school, how they enjoyed at these classes, how these make them super happy.. how they turned into different moods when they are playing with colors… recall these memories.. isn’t it true?

I mean, all life long , humanity and art are one within the other , they never broken up. Throughought the history, humanity and art always lived together on the walls of cages, churches, palaces, houses..isn’t it very interesting? Sure we can add other art branches firstly as music, and architecture, sculpture, decorative arts, design etc…

I had noted some interesting points to share them with you. For example, I know so many people, adults, who scratch some things on a paper during the meetings, they like doodling.. I encountered on so many TV shows, participants in discussion programs mostly draw a picture while listening others…there is such a bond between the art and the human soul, maybe the thing that drived us into this work was this kind of an urge.

Reading these may be making you smile, may be making you think, but I am sure you will think that I am right… and I am happy that I found myself in this kind of an engagement, it’s good for my soul, and sharing this happiness hopefully with lots of people and multiplying happiness is quite nice.

I want to ask you something.. Have you ever heard someone saying that “I hate painting the art is so bad”? I really don’t recall anyone who ever said that. Have you seen someone who hates paintings, saying that “I do not have a place for a painting in my life, no way I hang paintings on walls”? I literally never seen it something like that, everyone has a respect on art, some are less, some are more…but there is an undefinable love regarding the art. People like it but sometimes they just can’t find a piece beautiful enough to hang on their walls, sometimes they just hang whatever they could find.. They might be wishing more beautiful things, things after their own heart, but they could not have it. Just because they could not have it, they confine themselves to what they already have. In this sense, reaching these people as much as we can, making them happy, being able to make a little touch on their lives is very precious for us. I think that way, and by thinking like this please me more and more and makes me so happy.

Because I know that people love art as they love music, as they love other art branches, while art is probably one of the the easiest things to share.

It does not matter which branch of ART is, it makes possible to see the things that are created for our soul with our heart, like the melodies we sense from our ears while our eyes closed, something like decreasing our pains and wounds…something like rising up to another level or space somewhere up there… that’s how I think and I believe that we are doing a GOOD job.

However I know that there are some beautiful people who can see with heart. These people go and get a nice painting for their house and come back very happy. They can’t decide which wall to hang it very easily, some says it should stay somewhere near the windows, sunshine from outside enlighten the painting in the mornings, some worries if the sun cause color fading, some looks for a different corner, looks for the best corner in other words. When they believe that they found the best, this time they think how to hang, if it should be a bit down or up, a bit right or left, if its straight… and they make it, now it is time to settle in front of it and have a drink. It is a great joy which is really hard to define, something like.. they dream, proud of themselves, “it was so nice of me I did hang this here, all the mood in here changed, atmosphere changed, I did not know that I need this painting that much...” they feel happy and can not back out of this pleasure…other rooms, corners, new colors, new dreams become next.

I had so many moments like this, I did the same things in my office, in my place and in my friends places..

I KNOW, how one oil painting can change things in the place you live in, how enriches the place

These are the things depend on my experience and I am sure you are with me on this.

Currently I am 61 years old, living in Kalkan for almost 4 years, defined as “retired professional photographer”, “industrial photographer”, “promotional photographer”.. I was a laborer who enjoyed doing his job with care, who returned from the brink of being a very famous photographer when I was young and living in Istanbul, who spent his life in the search of aesthetics…

Ever since I could remember, I used to take pictures and would be very happy when people liked my black and white photographs as a child. I would try to take better pictures so that others would like them and get their praise with me. Because art is something that is fed with praise, if there is no praise you can not enjoy the things you’re doing, your work has no value. It was also same in my working life, if there were no appreciation for my work, the money I earned meant nothing.

I have spent years in search of aesthetics, endeavour to find the more beautiful one…but everything has the same, applauses, congratulations make happy all the decent people in all professions. Makes people love their professiond even more… keeps them strong and standing…

In short, to achieve something beautiful, it takes more effort, more mindset, searching for the more beautiful, patience and love for your job…

WE LOVE OUR JOB….

With my best regards
